Baba Ramdev Urges Boycott of US Brands Over 50 Percent Tariff

Published by

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has reacted strongly to the United States imposing a 50 percent tariff on Indian products. Addressing the issue on Wednesday, Ramdev appealed to Indian citizens to boycott American companies and their brands. He claimed that such a move by Indians would create severe inflation in the US, ultimately forcing them to roll back the tariff decision.

Call for Nationwide Boycott of American Companies

Baba Ramdev described the tariff imposed by America as an act of bullying and dictatorship. He said the 50 percent tariff is not just a financial blow but also an insult to India. According to him, Indian citizens must collectively boycott all American brands and services. He insisted that no Indian should be seen shopping at American company counters. If such a powerful boycott is executed, it would trigger panic in the US.

Impact of Boycott on US Economy

Ramdev emphasized that a nationwide boycott would have a direct impact on American companies operating in India. He said this would lead to sharp inflation in the United States, leaving President Trump with no option but to withdraw the tariffs. Ramdev also highlighted that challenges often open new doors. India should take this opportunity to strengthen trade with other nations and reduce dependency on the US market.

Need to Create New Employment Opportunities

The yoga guru further explained that India must generate new avenues of employment to counter possible job losses caused by American tariffs. He urged the Indian government to support traders and industrialists by reducing taxes and offering GST concessions. According to him, such measures would allow businesses to sustain themselves during these testing times. Ramdev expressed confidence that India would emerge stronger from this challenge.

India’s Role in Building a New World Order

Ramdev envisioned that India, along with China, Russia, Middle Eastern nations, and parts of Europe, could together establish a new global order. He believes this unity would challenge the dominance of the US dollar. Once such a coalition is formed, the dollar’s value would be reduced by half. According to him, India must play a proactive role in reshaping global economic alliances.

Lessons from China’s Experience

Citing China’s stance, Ramdev pointed out that when China resisted American tariffs firmly, Trump had to roll back some measures. He argued that India too is not a weak nation and must act with determination. He reminded that India is the world’s fourth-largest economy and has the potential to become the largest economy in the coming years.

India’s Strength as a Market and Talent Hub

Ramdev stressed that India is not only a vast market but also a nation full of skilled professionals and young talent. This combination gives India the strength to withstand external economic pressures. He insisted that if India diversifies its trade partnerships and focuses on innovation, it can turn this challenge into a major opportunity.

Boycott as a Strategic Move

According to Ramdev, boycotting American companies is not only a reaction to tariffs but also a strategic move to build self-reliance. He explained that by rejecting foreign dominance in trade, India can boost its domestic industries. He added that American companies depend heavily on the Indian consumer base, and losing this market would disrupt their growth.

Baba Ramdev’s strong statement against the 50 percent US tariff reflects growing concerns over trade tensions between India and America. His call for a complete boycott of American companies is aimed at pressuring the US government to reconsider its decision. He believes India has the strength, resources, and global partnerships to counter the impact of tariffs. With support from citizens and the government, he insists India can transform this challenge into an opportunity, positioning itself as a stronger economic power in the global arena.
