Ladli Behna Yojana, a flagship scheme launched by the Madhya Pradesh government under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, aims to empower women financially. Currently, the scheme benefits approximately 1.27 crore women, who receive a monthly assistance of ₹1250. The 26th installment of the scheme is expected soon, with a special announcement: an additional ₹250 will be credited to the accounts of eligible women as a part of a festive gesture.

The scheme has also introduced new initiatives, including financial support for cylinder refills and plans to increase the monthly aid to ₹1500 after Diwali. Since its inception in May 2023, this initiative has transformed the lives of married women between 21 and 60 years by offering direct financial assistance, contributing to social justice and economic inclusion across the state.
