KKN Gurugram Desk | The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially opened the registration window for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) exam. The number of vacancies may be subject to change depending on the requirements. As part of the recruitment process, candidates must pay a fee to complete the application. General and OBC candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 200. However, SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. Additionally, female candidates are also provided a fee exemption.

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have a graduation degree from any recognized university or institution. The field of study is not restricted, meaning candidates from any stream (Arts, Science, Commerce, etc.) can apply, as long as they have a valid degree from a recognized institution.
Age Limit:
The age limit for candidates is between 20 and 25 years as of August 1, 2025. This means candidates born between August 2, 1999, and August 1, 2005, are eligible to apply.
However, candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC) are eligible for age relaxation. The maximum age relaxation is 5 years for candidates from SC/ST categories and 3 years for OBC candidates.
The selection process for the UPSC CAPF 2025 exam consists of multiple stages:
Written Examination:
The written exam is the first stage of the selection process. It consists of two papers:
The written exam will be conducted on August 3, 2025, at various exam centers across the country. Both papers will be conducted in separate shifts. After the written exam, candidates who qualify will be called for the next stages.
Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Candidates who perform well in the written exam will then have to undergo the PST/PET. The Physical Efficiency Test will test the candidates’ physical endurance and capabilities. Candidates will be required to meet the physical standards specified by the UPSC. Only those who qualify in the PST/PET will be considered for the final selection.

Medical Examination:
