SSC CHSL Exam City Released : Candidates Can Check Their Exam Centers Online

Published on

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the exam city details for the SSC CHSL Tier-1 examination. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now log in to the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in to check the city where their exam will be held. The commission has also mentioned that candidates who selected the slot option while filling out the application have been allocated their exam city and date as per their preference. However, due to operational issues, some candidates may have had their shift changed. These candidates will have their preferred exam city, but the exam might be scheduled for a different day or shift.

For candidates who opted for an alternative exam city, efforts have been made to allocate the city of their choice within the available limits. On the other hand, candidates who did not choose a slot option have been allocated the exam city, date, and shift based on availability. The majority of candidates have been allocated the city according to the preferences they provided in their application forms. However, candidates who were not allotted a city based on their preferences can request a change via the feedback portal on the SSC website. This request can be made until 8th November 2025, 11:00 PM. If slots become available, the commission may re-allocate the exam city for these candidates.

SSC CHSL Exam Date and Shift Information

The SSC CHSL Tier-1 exam is scheduled to begin on 12th November 2025. It is important to note that the CHSL exam, originally scheduled from 8th September to 18th September 2025, was postponed. The SSC had not released an official notice explaining the postponement. As the exam nears, candidates are advised to check their exam city and details on the official website to avoid last-minute confusion.

SSC CHSL Recruitment Details

This year, the SSC CHSL exam will recruit for a total of 3,131 positions across various central government departments and offices. These positions include Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator roles. A total of 30.69 lakh candidates have applied for these positions, making it a highly competitive exam.

Exam Pattern for SSC CHSL Tier-1

The SSC CHSL Tier-1 exam will consist of multiple-choice objective-type questions. The question paper will be divided into four sections: English Language (Basic Knowledge), General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skills), and General Awareness. Each section will contain 25 questions. The total number of questions will be 100, and the exam will last for 60 minutes. However, candidates with disabilities will be given 80 minutes to complete the exam.

Candidates who score the minimum required marks in Tier-1 will be eligible to appear for the Tier-2 exam. The results of the Tier-1 exam will determine whether candidates advance to the next stage of the selection process.
