In this article, we will cover all the necessary information related to the SBI PO exam 2025, ensuring that you are well-prepared for the journey ahead.

SBI PO Attempt Limit: Important Details

Similar to the UPSC Civil Services Exam, the SBI PO exam has a defined attempt limit. However, unlike UPSC, where the Prelims exam is counted towards the limit, for SBI PO, only the Main exam attempts are counted.

Here’s how the attempt limit works:

  • General and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) candidates can attempt the SBI PO Main Exam 4 times.

  • OBC (Other Backward Classes) and Divyang (Differently-abled) candidates are allowed 7 attempts.

  • For SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) candidates, there is no limit on the number of attempts.

Understanding the attempt limit is crucial for candidates planning to apply for the SBI PO exam to manage their preparation and attempts effectively.

  • For candidates placed in Mumbai, the Cost to Company (CTC) is approximately ₹20.43 Lakhs.

This attractive pay package makes the SBI PO position one of the most sought-after jobs in the banking sector.

Bond Requirement for New Candidates

As part of the SBI PO recruitment process, selected candidates will be required to sign a bond. Here are the key details regarding the bond requirement:

  • Bond Amount: ₹2 Lakhs.

  • Candidates will have to sign this bond as they join the bank. The bond ensures that the selected candidates will serve the bank for a minimum of three years.

  • If a candidate leaves the bank before completing the three-year tenure, they will be required to repay the bond amount of ₹2 Lakhs.
