The State Bank of India (SBI) is preparing to release the SBI PO Prelims Result 2025 soon. Candidates who appeared for the Probationary Officer recruitment examination are eagerly waiting for the outcome. The SBI PO recruitment 2025 process aims to fill a total of 541 vacancies. Of these, 500 posts are regular vacancies, while 41 posts are backlog vacancies.

Interestingly, there will be no category-wise cut-off in the preliminary exam. Instead, SBI will prepare a merit list based on overall performance. Around 10 times the number of available vacancies will be shortlisted for the Mains Examination.
This means nearly 5,000 candidates could be shortlisted for the next phase based on the prelims results.
Though the official cut-off will be released with the results, experts suggest that the cut-off may remain high. This is due to intense competition and the large number of applicants.
Candidates from all categories will need to score well to ensure selection for the Mains. Performance in English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability will play a crucial role.

Step 6: Enter your registration number and date of birth.
Step 7: Click on submit, and the result will appear on your screen.
Step 8: Download the result and take a printout for future reference.
One of the biggest attractions of the SBI PO role is the lucrative salary package. The basic pay is ₹48,480 with four advance increments. The pay scale follows the range of 48,480-2000/7-62,480-2340/2-67,160-2680/7-85,920.
In addition to basic pay, selected candidates receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and various other allowances. This makes the SBI PO job one of the most sought-after positions in the Indian banking sector.
