The examinations for RSOS were held from April 21 to May 16, 2025, with a delay in six border districts—Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Barmer, Sri Ganganagar, and Jodhpur—due to heightened tensions. These were conducted between May 28 to 30.

Supplementary Exams and On-Demand System

As part of its inclusive approach, RSOS also released supplementary exam results:

  • 10th Supplementary: 5,204 registered, all appeared; 2,797 passed, 2,407 partially passed.

  • 12th Supplementary: 8,669 registered and appeared; 5,323 passed, 3,346 partially passed.

Moreover, launching on-demand exams from July 2025, RSOS is piloting a flexible digital model that allows students to take exams at their convenience—a major step under the “Shikshit Rajasthan Mission.”

RSOS Education Reforms & Digital Initiatives

RSOS Director Ashish Modi, Secretary Dr. Aruna Sharma, and other senior officials confirmed the results were streamlined thanks to digital modernization over the past eight years:

  • Online website and mobile app access

  • Digitalization of textbooks

  • Fully online enrollment process

  • Automated scanning and evaluation of answer sheets

These reforms have dramatically reduced result-finalization time to just 12–13 days—a significant improvement from previous cycles.

Why RSOS Results Matter for Open Education

As an alternative learning system, the Rajasthan State Open School offers opportunities for students who missed mainstream education, working individuals, and those from remote areas.

Some key benefits include:

  • Non-binding age limits (10th — 14 years, 12th — 15 years minimum)

  • Two annual exam sessions

  • No “fail” grade—students instead receive partial pass, giving them another shot

  • Continual progression without compulsory re-enrollment

These points make RSOS especially valuable for second-chance learners and adult students.

Awards and Recognition

RSOS honors include:

  • State-level first-rankers (boys & girls in both grades): ₹21,000

  • State-level second-rankers: ₹11,000

  • District-level toppers: ₹11,000 each + certificate

These incentives encourage academic excellence and public recognition of achievement in open school education.

 Annual Comparison: 2024 vs. 2025

  • July 2024 Results:

    • 10th pass rate: 80.33% (of 65,332 examinees)

    • 12th pass rate: 63.09% (of 65,851 examinees)

The pass rates for 2025 are lower; however, digital exam processing and on-demand systems are likely to boost future outcomes.

Looking Ahead: RSOS 2025–26 Academic Year

  • New syllabus ready for next academic year: 12 subjects in 10th, 17 in 12th across streams like Science, Commerce, Arts. RSOS has collaborated with the Rajasthan Board to ensure quality.

  • Continued roll-out of on-demand exams, aiming to enhance flexibility and digital access in education.

Students dissatisfied with their marks can apply within 7 days for rechecking, further ensuring transparency in evaluation.

The RSOS Result 2025 declaration not only marks academic achievement but also highlights Rajasthan’s strides in transforming open and flexible education through digital reforms.

With over 1.03 lakh students appearing this session, and on-demand exams launching soon, RSOS is emerging as a model for inclusive, digitally enabled secondary and senior-secondary education.
