Raising Objections: Steps to Follow

The objection window is open till July 20, 2025, at 11:59 PM. If you want to challenge any answer in the key, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Go to the official CBSE website and find the “Submit Key Challenge” link.

  2. Select the question or answer you want to challenge.

  3. Choose the correct answer option, which you believe should have been the right one.

  4. Submit your challenge along with the prescribed fee.

The fee for raising an objection is Rs. 1000 per question, and it must be paid online using a credit or debit card.

Important Information on Objections and Refunds

CBSE has mentioned that once the fee for the objection is received, the challenge will be reviewed by subject experts. If any errors are found in the answer key, the board will issue a policy decision on the official website. In such cases, the fee paid for the challenge will be refunded to the candidates.

It is important to note that the decision made by the subject expert(s) will be final, and no further communication will be entertained after the final verdict is given. Therefore, candidates should ensure that they raise valid and well-founded objections.

How to Pay the Objection Fee

The process to challenge the answer key is straightforward. Once the candidate selects the questions to challenge, they need to submit the challenge. Afterward, they will be directed to the payment gateway to pay the objection fee. The only acceptable mode of payment is through online transactions using credit/debit cards.

No Other Modes for Raising Objections

It is crucial for candidates to understand that any challenges to the answer key submitted through other modes, such as emails or physical submissions, will not be accepted. Only online objections submitted via the official CBSE portal will be considered valid.

Final Decision and Fee Refunds

If the subject expert(s) verify the validity of a challenge and find a mistake in the answer key, the board will update the answer key accordingly. Additionally, the fee paid for that particular challenge will be refunded to the candidates. However, the decision made by the subject expert(s) will be final and binding, and no further disputes will be entertained.
