The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has completed the registration and choice filling process under UGMAC-2025. This process applies to 85 percent of MBBS, BDS, and Veterinary seats in government institutions of Bihar. Thousands of NEET UG qualified candidates completed their online applications before the deadline of August 18, 2025.
The board has confirmed that the rank card or merit list will be declared on August 20, 2025. With this, the much-awaited counselling process for MBBS, dental, and veterinary admissions in Bihar is moving into the next phase.
The counselling body had allowed new registrations and choice filling until Monday. This was the final opportunity for candidates who had either missed the earlier rounds or had exhausted their choices. Only those students who qualified NEET UG 2025 and had applied earlier under UGMAC were eligible to participate in this round.
The completion of registration marks a crucial step as students now await the release of the rank list. The list will decide the position of candidates and their chances of securing seats in medical, dental, and veterinary colleges across Bihar.
The BCECEB has scheduled the publication of the UGMAC-2025 merit list on August 20, 2025. Once the merit list is out, candidates will be able to check their ranking through the official website.
The first round seat allotment result will be declared on August 24, 2025. Candidates allotted seats in the first round can download their allotment orders between August 24 and August 28, 2025.
Following the download of allotment letters, certificate verification and admission formalities will take place between August 26 and August 28, 2025. Students must attend the verification process in person to secure their admission.
The board has already notified candidates regarding the documents required during verification. These include:

Aadhaar card.
Biometric identification slip with check form.
Original documents required for admission into private medical and dental colleges.

Failure to present these documents in original may lead to cancellation of admission. Candidates are therefore advised to carefully prepare all papers before attending verification.

The certificate verification stage is one of the most crucial steps. Candidates who fail to appear will lose their allotted seat. During verification, authorities will check academic records, residential status, caste category, and other essential criteria.
After successful verification, students will receive final admission confirmation. In case of discrepancies, the seat may be cancelled and offered to another candidate in subsequent rounds.
UGMAC-2025 is the counselling process conducted annually by BCECEB. It provides admission to government and selected private colleges across Bihar under the state quota. This year, the process is significant because more than 25,000 NEET UG candidates have registered for MBBS, BDS, and veterinary courses.
The competition is expected to be tough as the number of applicants far exceeds the available seats.
Candidates have been advised to regularly check the BCECEB official portal for notifications. No separate communication will be made to individuals regarding rank list or seat allotment.
Students should also be prepared with multiple copies of documents, as submission at different verification centres may require photocopies along with originals. Timely reporting is essential to avoid disqualification.
As per Bihar government norms, the counselling process will follow the state reservation policy. Categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD will be provided reservations as mandated by law. This will significantly influence the allotment of seats across medical, dental, and veterinary courses.
Candidates are expected to produce valid certificates supporting their claim to reservation benefits. False claims may lead to legal action and cancellation of admission.
Once Round-1 is completed, students who are satisfied with their allotments can confirm their admission. Those who wish to upgrade can participate in Round-2 by retaining their current seat while opting for higher preference choices.
In case seats remain vacant after Round-2, a mop-up round will be conducted. This ensures that maximum seats are filled before the academic session begins.
The counselling process often creates stress among students. Limited seats and high competition make the system extremely challenging. Many students worry about getting their preferred colleges, while others face difficulties arranging documents.
Experts advise students to remain calm and focus on the step-by-step process. Timely action and accurate documentation can ensure smooth admission without last-minute issues.
Bihar NEET UG counselling 2025 has reached a crucial phase with the closure of registrations and choice filling. The upcoming rank list on August 20 will determine the fate of thousands of medical aspirants. With 1,347 state quota seats in MBBS, BDS, and veterinary courses, the competition remains intense.
Students must carefully follow all instructions, prepare documents, and attend verification on scheduled dates. BCECEB has ensured a transparent and fair process, and candidates are now waiting for results that will shape their medical careers.
