The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially announced the exam schedule for the Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) Joint Entrance Examination 2025. The entrance test will determine admissions into the DElEd course for the academic session 2025-2027.
According to the notice issued, the exam will begin on August 26, 2025. It will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at designated centers across the state. The announcement has brought clarity for thousands of candidates preparing for this competitive exam.
The board has confirmed that the Bihar DElEd Admit Card 2025 will soon be uploaded on the official BSEB website. Candidates will need to download it using their registration details.
The admit card will contain all crucial information such as:
Name of the examination center
Date of the examination
Reporting time at the center
Closing time of the center gates
Duration of the exam
Candidate instructions for the test
The board has also mentioned that a separate notification will be released on the website providing details about the admit card download link and other related updates.
For the 2025 academic session, applications for DElEd admissions were accepted in January. Thousands of aspiring candidates submitted their forms to secure a chance at gaining admission to Bihar’s leading teacher education institutions.
The exam is a key step for candidates aiming to pursue teaching careers at the elementary school level. Successful candidates will be eligible for counseling and admissions, which will be conducted based on merit and choice preferences.
Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam will be shortlisted through a merit list prepared by the Bihar Board. The admission process will follow the “merit-cum-choice” principle, meaning candidates will be allotted institutions based on their rank and selected preferences.
A separate advertisement will later notify details about counseling dates, seat allotment, and document verification. Once admitted, candidates will undergo professional training for teaching at the primary level.
Students who successfully complete the two-year DElEd diploma become eligible to apply for teaching positions at the primary level (Classes 1 to 8).
However, candidates must also clear the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as an additional requirement. Only then can they participate in state-level recruitment exams for government teaching posts.
The Bihar Board has fixed minimum qualifying marks for different categories of candidates:
Unreserved Category (General): 35%
Reserved Categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, etc.): 30%
These percentages will decide whether candidates qualify for further stages in the admission process.
The Bihar DElEd Joint Entrance Examination 2025 will test candidates across multiple subjects. The question paper will carry 120 multiple-choice questions worth 120 marks. Each question will be worth one mark.
The distribution of questions will be as follows:
General Hindi / Urdu – 25 questions
Mathematics – 25 questions
Science – 20 questions
Social Studies – 20 questions
General English – 20 questions
Logical and Analytical Ability – 10 questions
The balanced structure ensures candidates are tested across both language and subject knowledge as well as reasoning ability.
The DElEd entrance exam is one of the most significant competitive tests in Bihar for aspiring teachers. Every year, thousands of candidates aim to secure a place in reputed DElEd institutions.
The diploma is not only a requirement for teaching jobs but also a professional qualification that enhances the skills of future educators. With increasing focus on primary education, the demand for qualified teachers continues to rise, making this exam even more crucial.
Experts advise candidates to focus on a balanced preparation strategy. Since the exam covers diverse subjects, candidates must allocate time wisely for each section.
Regular practice in mathematics and reasoning helps improve accuracy. Reading comprehension and grammar exercises strengthen language sections like Hindi, Urdu, and English. For science and social studies, a strong base in Class 10 and Class 12 NCERT books is essential.
Time management during the CBT exam will also play a key role in scoring well.
This year’s exam being conducted in Computer Based Test mode marks a major shift. Candidates will answer questions digitally, reducing paper usage and increasing efficiency.
BSEB has already trained invigilators and support staff to ensure smooth conduct of the exam across centers. Mock tests are also being recommended to help candidates familiarize themselves with the CBT format.
The admit card will carry instructions regarding items allowed and prohibited inside the exam hall. Candidates must strictly follow guidelines such as:
Arriving early at the examination center
Carrying valid photo ID proof along with admit card
Avoiding electronic gadgets, calculators, or unauthorized material
Any violation may lead to disqualification.
Once the exam is completed, BSEB will release the official answer key followed by results and counseling schedules. The process will finalize seat allotments and admissions into Bihar’s DElEd institutions for the 2025-2027 session.
Candidates are advised to keep checking the official BSEB website for timely updates.
The announcement of the Bihar DElEd Admit Card 2025 and exam date has ended the wait for thousands of aspirants. With the exam scheduled for August 26, 2025, candidates now have limited time to revise and practice before appearing for the test.
This exam is a gateway for future educators in Bihar. The two-year diploma not only prepares them academically but also equips them with the professional skills necessary to shape young minds.
For candidates, the message is clear – download the admit card on time, follow exam guidelines, and prepare with full dedication. Success in the Bihar DElEd Joint Entrance Exam 2025 can pave the way for a fulfilling teaching career and contribute to the future of education in the state.
