Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally in Varanasi : Detailed Information on Process and Requirements

The preparations for the Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally in Varanasi are now complete. The recruitment process will take place at the Ranbankure Ground in the Varanasi cantonment area. The rally, organized by the Army Recruitment Office, will run from November 8 to November 21, 2025. The candidates who have passed the written examination can participate in the recruitment rally, which is scheduled to be held over multiple days for different categories.

Recruitment Process and Schedule

On the first day of the recruitment rally, candidates will be required to report to the venue with all the necessary documents between 12 AM and 2 AM on November 7, 2025. The recruitment will be conducted in stages, with candidates being invited for specific posts on different days. According to Colonel Shailesh Kumar, the Director of the Army Recruitment Office, the candidates from the districts of Azamgarh, Ballia, Chandauli, Deoria, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Mau, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Sonbhadra, and Varanasi, who have passed the written examination, will be included in the recruitment process.

The recruitment will begin on November 8 with candidates applying for clerk and tradesman posts from all 12 districts. A total of 1,028 candidates will participate on this day. On November 9, the recruitment will include candidates applying for technical posts along with some clerical positions, with 1,030 candidates expected to attend. November 10 will be dedicated solely to technical positions, with 1,052 candidates taking part. From November 11 to November 21, the general duty (GD) posts recruitment process will take place. For all candidates attending the rally, the printed color copy of the admit card will be considered valid. The admit card must have a passport-sized photograph affixed and should be submitted by the reporting time of 2:30 AM at the venue.

Mandatory Documents for the Rally

Candidates must carry the following documents to the recruitment rally:

  1. Admit card

  2. Passport-sized colored photograph

  3. All academic certificates

  4. Residence certificate

  5. Caste and religion certificate

  6. Character certificate from police, school, village head, or municipal corporation

  7. Unmarried certificate

  8. Father’s relationship proof

  9. PAN card

  10. Aadhar card

Additionally, candidates are required to submit three photocopies of each document. All original documents must be presented at the rally, and candidates must ensure they bring verified copies of the same.

Changes in Physical Test Categories

For this recruitment, the 1600-meter race has been divided into four categories to accommodate candidates for different positions. This change has been made to ensure that candidates for all positions, including technical, tradesman, and office assistant roles, are eligible without excluding deserving individuals. The candidates will be given an additional 30 seconds to complete the race. The qualifying time for the race is now 6 minutes 15 seconds. Previously, candidates had to complete the race in 5 minutes 45 seconds to qualify.

Now, candidates will receive points based on their race timings. A time of 5 minutes 30 seconds will earn 60 points, 5 minutes 31 seconds to 5 minutes 45 seconds will earn 48 points, 5 minutes 46 seconds to 6 minutes will earn 36 points, and completing the race in 6 minutes 1 second to 6 minutes 15 seconds will earn 24 points.

Breakdown of Physical Test Groups

The physical test has been categorized into four groups, with specific requirements for each group. These categories determine how candidates will be selected based on their performance in the race and pull-ups.

Group 1:

  • For this group, candidates must complete a 1.6 km run in 5 minutes and 30 seconds. This will earn them 60 marks.

  • Candidates must also perform 10 pull-ups, which will earn them 40 marks.

Group 2:

  • Candidates in this group must complete the 1.6 km run in 5 minutes 45 seconds. They will earn 48 marks for this.

  • Additionally, they must do 9 pull-ups, earning 33 marks.

Group 3:

  • For this category, candidates must complete the 1.6 km run in 6 minutes. This will earn them 36 marks.

  • They must also perform 8 pull-ups, which will give them 27 marks.

Group 4:

  • Candidates in this group have 6 minutes 15 seconds to complete the 1.6 km run, earning 24 marks for this.

  • Pull-ups are also part of the test: performing 7 pull-ups will earn them 21 marks, while performing 6 pull-ups will earn 16 marks.
