In a sharp political attack, Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishor criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, and the NDA government during a public meeting in Rajouli, Nawada district. Speaking under his ongoing “Bihar Badlav Yatra,” Kishor urged voters to prioritize their children’s future over political leaders’ names in the upcoming elections.

Grand Welcome in Nawada District
As Prashant Kishor entered Nawada district, he was greeted with a grand welcome. Supporters lined the streets, playing drums and carrying garlands to honor him. A long convoy of vehicles followed his motorcade, reflecting the significant local enthusiasm for his visit.
Upon reaching the Rajouli Inter School sports ground, where the public meeting was held, thousands of people had already gathered to hear him speak. Local workers honored Kishor by draping a shawl over his shoulders, adding to the ceremonial atmosphere of the event.
Criticism of Bihar’s Current Situation
In his speech, Kishor expressed concern over the state of basic living conditions in Bihar. He claimed that despite traveling through villages for three years, he still witnessed children without proper clothing or footwear. He alleged that the “double engine” government showed no real concern for the well-being of the state’s children.
According to him, the lack of basic amenities for children highlights the urgent need for public awareness and change. He stated that without such awareness, Bihar’s development will continue to stagnate.
Attack on Political Dynasties
Kishor took a direct swipe at Lalu Prasad Yadav, stating that his son had not passed ninth grade, yet Lalu wanted to make him a political leader. He contrasted this with the plight of educated youth in Bihar who struggle to find employment.
Encouraging voters to break away from traditional voting patterns, Kishor appealed to them to vote not for political figures like Lalu, Nitish, or Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but for the future of their own children.
Public Reaction and “Bye-Bye Nitish” Slogan
Towards the end of his speech, Kishor posed a question to the gathered crowd—whether they wanted Nitish Kumar to continue as Chief Minister or bid him farewell. The crowd responded by raising their hands in favor of saying “bye-bye” to Nitish Kumar.
Kishor emphasized that even if Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally campaigned for Nitish Kumar, people should not vote for him. This remark drew loud cheers from the audience and further energized the atmosphere.
Bihar Badlav Yatra – A Grassroots Campaign
Kishor’s “Bihar Badlav Yatra” has been positioned as a grassroots movement aimed at directly engaging with people in towns and villages across Bihar. By traveling extensively and holding such rallies, Kishor seeks to connect with voters at a personal level, presenting himself as an alternative to the established political class.
His campaign strategy focuses on highlighting the failures of current and past governments while offering the vision of a people-centric administration. He continues to stress that Bihar needs leaders committed to long-term development rather than political survival.
A Shift in Political Messaging
Kishor’s speeches reflect a deliberate attempt to shift the political conversation in Bihar from personality-based politics to issue-based voting. His repeated call for people to consider their children’s future before casting their ballots is designed to appeal to the emotions and responsibilities of the electorate.
By criticizing both ruling and opposition leaders, Kishor positions himself as an outsider challenging the entrenched political order. His narrative also taps into public frustration over unemployment, poor infrastructure, and lack of basic amenities, making it relatable for the common voter.
The Road Ahead for Prashant Kishor
With the “Bihar Badlav Yatra” gaining visibility, Kishor is expected to intensify his outreach in the coming months. His strategy appears to be building momentum in rural as well as semi-urban areas, leveraging large gatherings and media coverage to amplify his message.
However, translating public enthusiasm into electoral success will require a well-structured organizational network, strong candidate selection, and effective ground mobilization. Kishor’s political credibility, built over years as a strategist for other leaders, will now be tested in his own electoral venture.
As Bihar’s political climate heats up, Kishor’s confrontational tone against Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and the NDA could redefine the discourse ahead of the polls. Whether his call to vote for the “future of children” over established political names resonates widely will become clearer as election day approaches.
