KKN Gurugram Desk | Nalanda witnessed a horrific road accident that claimed three lives in Rajgir’s Lahuwar Lakshmipur area. Among the deceased are two young men, Mukesh Kumar and Mantu Kumar, both residents of Lahuwar Lakshmipur. The third victim is a 14-year-old unidentified girl whose identity remains unknown.
The tragic incident occurred when the three victims were on their way to board the Buddha Purnima Express train from Rajgir Railway Station. Their journey was abruptly cut short when their motorcycle crashed into a stationary truck near a weighbridge at the Rajgir bypass. The impact of the collision was so severe that Mukesh and Mantu died on the spot, while the teenage girl succumbed to her injuries shortly after.
The deceased include 20-year-old Mukesh Kumar, 18-year-old Mantu Kumar, and a 14-year-old girl whose identity remains a mystery. Mukesh and Mantu hailed from Rajgir’s Lahuwar Lakshmipur, while police are actively trying to establish the girl’s identity.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and searching for the truck driver, who fled the scene immediately after the crash. The Rajgir police, led by Station House Officer Raman Kumar and Inspector Sanjay Kumar, arrived at the site to assess the situation. The truck has been seized and taken to the police station for further investigation.
Road accidents in Nalanda, particularly in Rajgir, have been a growing concern. Reckless driving, lack of road safety measures, and poorly managed parking of heavy vehicles contribute to such tragic incidents. In this case, the presence of an unattended truck on the bypass raises serious concerns about road safety regulations.
The deaths of three individuals, including a teenager, have left the community in mourning. Locals are demanding stricter traffic regulations and enforcement to prevent such accidents. The tragic loss has once again highlighted the need for improved road safety measures in Bihar.
The police have assured a thorough investigation, and efforts are underway to track down the truck driver responsible for the parked vehicle. Authorities are also working to identify the girl’s family to inform them of the tragedy.
This accident underscores the urgent need for increased awareness and strict implementation of road safety laws. With proper enforcement, such devastating accidents can be prevented, ensuring safer roads for all.
