KKN Gurugram Desk | Bihar continues to face severe cold and dense fog, disrupting daily life and causing concerns for commuters. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for 12 districts in the state due to extreme foggy conditions. The affected districts include Madhubani, Supaul, Kishanganj, Araria, Madhepura, Katihar, Purnia, East Champaran, Saharsa, Sheohar, and West Champaran.

⏰ New Timings: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh issued this directive to ensure students’ safety during extreme cold conditions. Parents and students are advised to follow the new schedule until further updates from the administration.

The severe fog conditions in Bihar have disrupted road, rail, and air travel, causing delays and inconvenience for passengers.

1️⃣ Impact on Road Traffic

???? Reduced Visibility: Vehicles are moving at slow speeds, leading to traffic congestion on major highways.
???? Increased Accidents: Low visibility has led to several road accidents, especially on the Patna-Gaya, Patna-Muzaffarpur, and Bhagalpur-Katihar highways.
???? Advisory: Commuters are advised to use fog lights, drive slowly, and avoid unnecessary travel during early morning and late-night hours.

✅ Mild Cold Conditions
