Earlier, Coal India sent letters to the Chief Secretary of Bihar and the District Magistrate of West Champaran, requesting necessary cooperation for the project. Following directives from the central government, the District Magistrate of West Champaran has been instructed to select land for the project and inform Coal India. A technical team from Coal India is set to visit West Champaran soon to assess the feasibility of solar power generation in the area. Early investigations suggest that West Champaran is geographically well-suited for the installation of a solar power plant.

The state government of Bihar is also actively involved in the project. Energy Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav has stated that necessary instructions have been given to the Power Generation Company for the establishment of the solar power plant in West Champaran. Coal India’s Ongoing Solar Projects
