Kaushlendra Jha
Kaushlendra Jha is an Indian journalist, author and media personality known for his sharp editorial vision, analytical writing style, and long-standing commitment to social causes. He currently leads the Hindi editorial team of KKN Live and also writes regularly for Hindustan, one of India’s leading Hindi daily newspapers.
After completing his postgraduate degree in Political Science from Bihar University, he entered the field of journalism, beginning a professional journey that now spans more than three decades. Over the years, he has worked with several respected media organisations, including Pratah Kamal, ETV Bihar-Jharkhand, and various regional dailies and magazines, where his columns earned wide readership and credibility.
He has also been deeply involved in social work. In 2004, he joined the International Human Rights Association (India) as the State Secretary of Bihar (Media Cell). His consistent work and leadership led to his appointment as the State President of Bihar in 2009. Since 2020, he has been serving as the organisation’s National Secretary. In recognition of his contributions, he was honoured with the “Human Rights Media Ratna” award in 2011.
His commitment to society began long before his formal journalism career. In 1987, he founded the Kisan Mazdoor Sangh, an organisation later recognised by the Bihar Government for its grassroots community work. He also worked with the Government of India’s Central Board of Workers Education, leading numerous awareness campaigns for unorganised labourers across rural Bihar from 1988 to 2011. During the 1990s, he played a supervisory role in academic initiatives under the Bihar Education Project.
His commitment to reading, writing, and public service, combined with journalistic integrity and decades of on-ground experience, shapes Kaushlendra Jha’s unique and influential presence in Indian media.
