Tragic Road Accident in Madhya Pradesh: Cement-Laden Truck Overturns on Van

KKN Gurugram Desk | In a devastating incident early Wednesday morning, a cement-laden truck overturned onto a Maruti Eeco van in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua district, resulting in the deaths of nine individuals, including five children and three women. The tragic accident occurred between 3 and 4 AM near the Sanjeli railway crossing in the Meghnagar area.

According to local authorities, the victims were returning from a wedding ceremony when the accident took place. The truck, transporting cement from Rajasthan, lost balance while crossing an under-construction rail overbridge on a temporary road. Due to the heavy load, the truck overturned and landed on the van, crushing it completely.

Visuals from the scene depict the van mangled beyond recognition, with the overturned truck resting atop it. Emergency services arrived promptly, but nine occupants of the van were declared dead at the scene. Two others sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
