Bihar Police Officer Dies in Road Accident near Kachra Bhediya Village

 A tragic road accident claimed the life of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Jitendra Kumar Singh, aged 50, near Kachra Bhediya village on the Bihta-Sarmera two-lane road in the Chandi police station area. Singh, who was posted at the Mufassil police station in Nawada district, was a resident of Hajipur in Vaishali district.

According to initial information, ASI Singh was traveling on his motorcycle towards Patna in connection with the investigation of an ongoing case. While passing near Kachra Bhediya village, he was hit by a speeding unidentified vehicle. The collision caused severe injuries, leaving him unconscious at the scene.

Immediate Rescue and Hospital Transfer

Local residents rushed to the aid of the injured officer. With their help, Singh was taken to the Chandi Referral Hospital for urgent medical attention. After initial treatment, doctors referred him to the Bihar Sharif Model Hospital for advanced care due to the seriousness of his injuries.

Despite efforts by the medical team, Singh succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the Bihar Sharif facility. His death has shocked his colleagues and community members alike.

Police Statement on the Incident

Chandi police station in-charge Suman Kumar confirmed the tragic death. He stated that the family of the deceased officer has been informed about the accident. Efforts are underway to identify the unidentified vehicle involved in the collision.

Police have initiated an investigation, gathering evidence from the accident site and questioning local witnesses. The officer’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination as part of standard procedure.

ASI Jitendra Kumar Singh was serving at the Mufassil police station in Nawada district. Arrangements are being made for the post-mortem examination at the designated hospital. After the examination, Singh’s body will be handed over to his family for funeral rites in Hajipur, Vaishali district.
