World’s Tallest Shivling to Be Installed at Virat Ramayan Temple in Motihari on January 17

A historic religious moment is set to unfold in Bihar’s Motihari district on January 17. The world’s tallest Shivling will be installed at the Kaithwaliya Virat Ramayan Temple. Preparations for the grand ceremony have been completed. The installation is expected to draw massive attention from devotees and visitors across the country.

The Shivling stands 33 feet tall and weighs 210 metric tons. It has been carved from granite stone. The massive structure has been transported from Tamil Nadu to Bihar after years of careful construction. The event marks a major milestone for the Virat Ramayan Temple project.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to Attend Ceremony

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will attend the Shivling installation ceremony. According to temple authorities, the Chief Minister will arrive at the temple complex at 11:50 am on January 17. The administration has been placed on high alert due to his visit.

Arrangements are being made for aerial flower showers over the Shivling. A helicopter has been arranged for this purpose. After landing, the Chief Minister will witness the ceremony from the temple premises. Officials have confirmed that all security protocols are being followed.

Extensive Preparations at Temple Complex

The installation ceremony has required extensive planning. Two heavy cranes with capacities of 700 tons and 500 tons have already reached the temple site. A special mock drill was conducted on Friday to ensure smooth execution. According to officials, the installation process will take nearly two hours.

Special prayer pandals and VIP seating areas have been constructed. The temple committee has ensured that arrangements meet safety and crowd management standards. Live visuals of the installation will be shown on large LED screens within the temple premises.

Live Telecast and 3D Temple Presentation

Devotees attending the event will witness a live telecast of the Shivling installation. Large LED screens have been installed to broadcast the ceremony. The event will also feature a 3D visual presentation. This presentation will show how the Virat Ramayan Temple will appear after completion.

The 3D visuals aim to give visitors a glimpse of the temple’s future grandeur. Temple officials believe this will enhance public interest and faith. The presentation will be shown before and after the installation ceremony.

Administrative Measures and Traffic Control

Local administration has taken several measures to maintain order. According to Sub-Divisional Officer Shivani Shubham, 53 deputation points have been identified. Additionally, 40 access cuts leading to the temple premises have been marked. These routes will remain closed during the event.

Police personnel and administrative officials will be deployed at all sensitive locations. Authorities have urged the public to cooperate with government guidelines from the evening of January 16 until January 17. The aim is to ensure smooth movement and safety for all attendees.

Transport Arrangements for Devotees

Special transport arrangements have been made for visitors. E-rickshaw services will operate from Chakia Gumti and Rajpur Chowk. These services will be available for those who need assistance reaching the temple area. The administration has advised people to avoid unnecessary travel near the venue.

Officials have emphasized that crowd control is a top priority. Emergency services will remain on standby throughout the event. Medical teams will also be present within the temple complex.

World’s Tallest Shivling Details

The Shivling being installed is considered the tallest in the world. It measures 33 feet in height and 33 feet in width. The structure weighs 210 metric tons and is made entirely of granite stone. The Shivling was built at a cost of approximately Rs 3 crore.

The construction took nearly ten years to complete. It was crafted in Pattikadu village near Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu. Skilled artisans worked on the project over the years to achieve precise dimensions and durability.

Long Journey from Tamil Nadu to Bihar

Transporting the Shivling was a major logistical challenge. The massive structure was brought to Bihar using a 96-wheel truck. The journey covered several states and required special permissions. Engineers ensured that roads and bridges could handle the load.

The Shivling arrived safely at the temple site after careful planning. Officials monitored the movement throughout the journey. The successful transport itself is being seen as an engineering achievement.

Grand Vision of Virat Ramayan Temple

The Virat Ramayan Temple is envisioned as one of the largest religious structures in the world. Once completed, the temple will measure 1080 feet in length and 540 feet in width. It will feature a total of 18 shikhars and 22 temples within the complex.

The main shikhar will rise to a height of 270 feet. Four shikhars will be 180 feet tall. One shikhar will reach 135 feet. Eight shikhars will stand at 108 feet, while one will measure 90 feet.

Construction Progress So Far

Several key components of the temple have already been completed. Work on the entrance gate, Ganesh site, Singh Dwar, Nandi statue, Shivling area, and the foundation of the sanctum has been finished. Piling work has also been completed.

The installation of the Shivling is seen as a major step forward. Temple authorities believe it will accelerate the remaining construction work. The project has generated employment and boosted religious tourism in the region.

Religious and Cultural Significance

The installation ceremony is expected to attract thousands of devotees. Religious leaders and scholars view the Shivling as a symbol of devotion and faith. The temple aims to become a major spiritual destination in eastern India.

Local residents have expressed pride in hosting such a historic event. Businesses in Motihari are also preparing for increased footfall. The ceremony is expected to place Motihari on the global religious tourism map.

Anticipation Builds Ahead of January 17

As January 17 approaches, excitement continues to build. Temple authorities, administration, and devotees are working together to ensure a smooth ceremony. The installation of the world’s tallest Shivling marks a defining moment for Bihar’s religious heritage.

The event is expected to leave a lasting impact. It symbolizes devotion, architectural ambition, and cultural pride. All eyes will be on Kaithwaliya Virat Ramayan Temple as history is made in Motihari.
