KKN Gurugram Desk | On the occasion of Ganga Dussehra, a heartwarming and unusual sight took place at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. A Muslim woman, clad in a burqa, accompanied by her husband, visited the Ram Temple and performed bhajans, leaving the devotees around them astonished. The couple’s devotion and the woman’s soulful rendition of a Ram bhajan made this moment unforgettable, sparking a wave of admiration and respect among the crowd.

This moment occurred on June 5, 2025, during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Darbar at the Ram Mandir, marking the culmination of several days of religious fervor in Ayodhya. The ceremony, which saw a surge of devotees arriving in the holy city, was memorable for one particular couple who stood out for reasons that transcended religious boundaries.

The Visit to Ram Mandir: A Symbol of Devotion and Unity

The couple, Ameen and his wife, arrived from Lakhimpur Kheri to seek blessings from Ram Lalla, the presiding deity of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The husband and wife were deeply immersed in their devotion to Lord Ram, and their journey to Ayodhya symbolized a powerful message of religious unity and respect for divine principles.

In a crowd of Ram bhakts (devotees), the sight of the Muslim woman in a burqa caught many by surprise. However, what followed was a moment of pure spiritual connection that won over the hearts of everyone around. Ameen’s heartfelt words about Lord Ram, and his wife’s rendition of a devotional bhajan (“Bhīlani Param Tapasvini Shabari Jāko Nāma, Guru Matank Kahkar Gaye, Tohi Milenge Ram”), captivated everyone present.

Her voice, filled with devotion, struck a chord with those gathered in the temple, transcending religious divides and drawing admiration from both Hindus and Muslims alike.

Ameen’s Words: Expressing Deep Reverence for Lord Ram

While the woman sang the devotional song, Ameen spoke about his profound admiration for Lord Ram. In an interview with a private news channel, he said, “Anyone who does not know Ram is the biggest fool. There is no one like Lord Ram in this world. Everyone chants the name of Ram because it is the ultimate bliss. No one else can cross the sea of life like Ram. I bow my head in front of Ram. Ram has taught me how to live.”

Ameen’s words resonated deeply, bridging the gap between different faiths and showing that devotion to Lord Ram is not bound by any single religion or belief system. He continued by saying that Lord Ram is a divine being, and he has a deep affection for Him. He expressed his joy at being able to witness the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, a significant event in the Ram Mandir’s history.

“I am happy to have come here today for the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Darbar, and I visit other temples as well. I have visited Gola Gokarnnath three times with a Kavad (a traditional pilgrimage offering),” Ameen said, further exemplifying his deep spiritual engagement with religious sites.

Ameen’s Appreciation for CM Yogi Adityanath and the Spiritual Journey

Throughout the conversation, Ameen also expressed his appreciation for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, lauding him as a good leader. He even wished CM Yogi a happy birthday during the interview, which demonstrated his respect for the state leadership and their role in facilitating such religious events.

The couple’s story stands out as an example of how faith can unite people across different religions. Ameen and his wife shared their love for spirituality and the importance of religious tolerance, showing that devotion transcends boundaries.

Security and Special Arrangements for the Couple’s Visit

As Ameen and his wife interacted with media representatives, the security personnel at the temple gate noticed them and, given the VIP nature of their visit, they were allowed to proceed for the darshan (sight of the deity). In an official capacity, they were also accompanied by a few policemen for security reasons. This ensured that the couple could experience the divine darshan without any disruptions or concerns for their safety.

Despite their relatively humble appearance, Ameen and his wife had made an indelible impact on the devotees at the temple, with many remarking that the couple’s devotion symbolized a deeper unity that went beyond the confines of religious labels.

The Larger Message: Unity in Diversity Through Religion

The event at the Ram Mandir on June 5, 2025, was not just about a religious ceremony or a visit to a holy site; it was a larger message about religious unity and harmony. In a country like India, where religious divides often make headlines, this incident sent out a powerful message of love, respect, and spiritual unity.

By participating in the rituals, performing the bhajan, and speaking openly about their devotion, Ameen and his wife demonstrated that true devotion is about connecting to the divine, irrespective of the outward religious identity. Their act of paying homage to Ram Lalla, singing a Ram bhajan, and engaging in respectful dialogue with devotees was a profound reminder that spirituality and religion can be universal, uniting people of all backgrounds.

The Role of Religious Leaders in Promoting Unity

Ameen’s comments reflect the growing realization among spiritual leaders and ordinary people that religion is not meant to divide but to unite humanity. It is through acts like these that the true essence of religious tolerance and interfaith respect can flourish in society.

In a country like India, where Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and many other religions coexist, it becomes imperative to understand the deeper essence of faith, beyond rituals and dogma. The simple act of a Muslim woman in a burqa singing bhajans at the Ram Mandir serves as a living example of how different faiths can coexist and even converge in the pursuit of a shared spiritual journey.

A Glimpse of Devotion in Modern Times

The incident at Ram Mandir also sheds light on how devotion is changing in modern times. Religious practices and expressions of faith are increasingly being viewed as personal choices that can transcend cultural and religious boundaries. The couple’s visit to the Ram Mandir is a reminder that faith is universal, and it should be appreciated without prejudice or division.

The story of Ameen and his wife visiting the Ram Mandir on Ganga Dussehra, performing bhajans, and displaying their deep devotion to Ram Lalla is one of the most touching incidents in recent religious history. Their visit to the temple and their heartfelt actions provided a glimpse of how faith can unite people across diverse religious backgrounds, making the world a better and more harmonious place.

As India continues to move toward greater interfaith harmony, the example set by Ameen and his wife encourages us to look beyond religious labels and find common ground in our shared devotion to the divine.
