According to Santosh Kumar Agarwal, President of the Varanasi Bullion Association, the demand for gold and silver during this period has caused prices to soar. Experts predict that prices might rise further in the coming weeks.
Gold Prices See a Steady Rise
1. 24-Carat Gold Hits ₹81,420 per 10 Grams
- On January 18, the price of 24-carat gold increased by ₹650, bringing it to ₹81,420 per 10 grams.
- On the previous day, January 17, the price was ₹80,770 per 10 grams.
2. 22-Carat Gold Climbs to ₹74,650 per 10 Grams
- The price of 22-carat gold rose by ₹600, reaching ₹74,650 per 10 grams.
- A day earlier, it was priced at ₹74,050 per 10 grams.
3. 18-Carat Gold Also Witnesses Growth
- 18-carat gold saw a ₹490 increase, now priced at ₹61,080 per 10 grams, compared to ₹60,590 on January 17.
- Tip: Always verify the purity of gold before purchase. 24-carat gold is considered the purest, and buyers should check for the hallmark certification to ensure quality.
Silver Prices Skyrocket
- The price of silver has surged by ₹1,000 per kg.
- On January 18, silver is priced at ₹96,500 per kg, up from ₹95,500 on January 17.
